Hidden Tours
Out of the Ordinary

Hidden Tours adventures go beyond typical tours to bring you an immersive experience of environmental, historical, auditory, and physical enjoyment as you explore extraordinary locales.

We offer three types of tours, the Hidden MPLS (Minneapolis) which is private and arranged to work with your schedule. The Hidden Cedar, which is pre-scheduled walking tour at various times of the week.  And our latest addition in 2025, a Brewery & Baseball Tour in Arizona, which runs from February into April.

Our History

A family reunion seven years ago at Cedar Lake re-opened the eyes of brothers Tim and Todd Sheridan to some of Minneapolis' little known past. In talking they realized many of the incredible things which make MPLS special, were not well known or publicized. That included Cedar Lake. In turn, they wanted to show their friends and family the hidden gems existing right under people's noses. Thus the idea of Hidden MPLS Tours was born. However, before giving tours or starting a tour business, they did lots of homework. Exploring and learned as much as they possibly could about their hometown of MPLS.

Intimate Tours

Tim Sheridan announces live baseball to tens of thousands of people during spring training, but he also knows the most enjoyable communication is in smaller groups. Which is why Hidden Tours loves keeping tours intimate for a more in-depth and personal experience! This is the reason we limit MPLS and Cedar tours to a maximum of 6 people. (Exceptions may be made for families larger than 6). Our Beer & Baseball Tour in Arizona is usually 5 people or less. But we can accommodate up to 8, if you have a larger group.

An award winning Dos Equis beer ad campaign once touted a fictitious "Most interesting man in the World."  However, our fans seem to think, the most interesting man in the world could possibly be your tour guide - Tim Sheridan.

Tim is a historian, artist, naturalist, professional sports announcer, filmmaker, writer, storyteller, and pop culture guru. His eclectic background includes: playing basketball with Minnesota music legend Prince, talking space travel with astronaut and Senator John Glenn, inducting baseball legend Bob Uecker into a Hall of Fame, hanging out with blues icon B.B. King, singing with Pearl Jam legend Eddie Vedder, and creating an award winning museum. Oh ya, he was given a World Series ring by the Chicago Cubs after their historic 2016 title and announced at iconic Wrigley Field. All of which only scratches the surface of his diverse life.

A Minnesota native who splits his time between Minnesota and Arizona, Tim has spent years exploring, photographing, paddle boarding, and learning about the City of Lakes. Currently living mere steps from the beautiful shores of Cedar Lake, he's immersed himself in the area. Literally... He polar plunges! He's also held a position on the neighborhood board for the past four years and is a photographer for the Hill & Lake Press, a local newspaper.

Having grown up near Lake Harriett, one of the five lakes that make up the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes, Tim has explored all the lake areas. However, when he moved to his current home, he knew he’d discovered a hidden gem. And now he wants to show you!
